SABRINA
It was only supposed to be one night—a last-minute, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to provide sign language interpretation for a live concert with the Rob Statler. I certainly never expected to be asked to join his summer tour.
I don’t want to leave my aging grandmother and Deaf sister for the summer, but the money is enough to clear Nana’s medical bills and resuscitate our family restaurant. I just have to keep reminding myself of that whenever I feel like jumping off this tour bus. Which is basically every day.
They say you shouldn't meet your idols, and Rob Statler is living, brooding proof of that.
ROB
I don’t care if Sabrina thinks I’m an entitled jerk. She's a stranger my team dragged onto my tour. Do they just expect me to trust her? Not a chance. My only priority is shielding my autistic younger brother from the voracious public eye. I have no interest in making friends with the nosy sign language interpreter—no matter how pretty she is.
But as the tour bus crosses the country, Sabrina wears down my defenses, and it starts to look like she might be exactly what my brother needs. Unfortunately, I’m starting to think she might be exactly what I need, too.
